hi Fast_Trader, I'm just curious what specific features you prefer in Pro over HE?

I've only used HE (I have 7 copies) and haven't found any holes. I think I've read that Pro can use the FAT file system instead of NTFS which HE is stuck with, but it's of no consequence to me.

  6. yes, very good.

    :p

  7. Thanks QDZ....I got back early tonight....I told the girl at Dell I wanted to sleep on it.

  8. Do both OS's have to be "authenticated" online by Microsoft?
I hate that kind of crap and have stuck with win2k for that reason alone.
Nothing like a piece of software that you can install/unistall at will without some uncle sam-like big brother watching over you.

Yes, XP home edition needs to be "activated" within 30 days of install. They don't allow installs on more than 2 or 3 machines, or so I've heard :)

  10. Thanks.

Can anyone confirm if the PRO version is the same way?
And has anyone installed it on say 2-3 computers without hassle?
