Even the people that use TS have another broker for execution. I mean, Ameritrade's fees were outrageous for like ever.
Seriously? I have worked with it a lot but it's a joke of a language, IMO. Like many others here, I have TOS for investments (probably just because I have for many years) and NT for futures. Tradestation is my favorite platform, hands down (and favorite programming language for trading). The playback feature of NT is what keeps me there
Long ago, I almost went with TradeStation, but chose IBKR (excel api/vba) and thinkorswim instead. I had low expectations I guess? The thinkScript community is decent. Compared to hardcore programming languages it's not that great, but I have a limited programming background; just a math degree. I've found it to be great but limited in that it lacks high frequency charts other than tick charts, but you can get faster charts with another software easily.
What is thinkscript? I use TOS Active Trader window, works well (I am making money) for me after I adopted @volpri's. Often it is the method, not the platform?
