%% NO/ LOL BUT i did note another elitetrader he could be a market maker, if he didnt like their work .LOL [ I did not tell him i would never try to be a market maker myself LOL] My main point was\ with you not being a new trader\thats different.
Thank you for the kind words. It is not how old you are that determines how smart you are. And don't forget you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. Same goes for how long we trade does not determine how great we are. Otherwise old trader like me will be printing money.
Jastin you are right in some way. But I don’t think that there is any strategy that can always get you profits. Losing is a part of forex trading and there is no strategy that is 100% efficient. Or is there any?
Making profits is a secondary thing. The first thing is that the strategy must be aligned with your trading requirements. If it is not what you want, you are not doing anything more than gambling.
Of course, there isn’t. But there is definitely a strategy that works for you and there is no other strategy that would be able to provide you with the profits that that strategy provides does. For instance, when trading with fxview and pepperstone, I usually use the price action strategy and it works in most cases and gets me profits. This is what I meant when I said that the best strategy is the one which brings you profits. I didn’t mean profits in all your trades but in most of the trades.
I think I should keep using a strategy in some trades to see how it impacts my returns. I think this is the only way I can know which strategy is suitable for me and which is not.
@Neal Yes, you can do that. But try keeping your investments low in the beginning because you won’t have any idea about how the trades will turn out to be.
Yes, true. Without using a strategy, you won’t ever get to know whether a strategy works for you or not. Try it and find out more about it if you can. Test it out in a demo first maybe... ?!
