Wow. You're saying the IRS cared so much about a minutia like that that they felt the need to go through the trouble of passing legislation that prohibits any tax software in the country from leaving figures as is? They really need to find something to do.

from what I understand the IRS does not want the hassle of dealing with cents, they just want round dollar numbers.

put in the exact amount just in case, but don't worry if the software rounds it off
