Is there any IB branch to visit?

  1. Probably PM stands for "pay me". If so, my reply is "I do not afford to pay money how to use API".

However, it is interesting that, unlike TWS, I can download lots of info (such as interest paid as above) using API. I need to study many months for the APIs.

Basically most info that we see in TWS screen can be downloaded to plain text file in c:\.

For "practical limits to the services any broker can provide particularly as they relate to the support of customized API programming." above, broker lose money for lack of API clip to explain. If they give me support for API, I can give more brokerage profit to IB.

  2. IB-AN

    IB-AN Interactive Brokers

PM means "Private Message". If you click on my alias (IB-AN) a window will open which allows you to send a private thread or message. It provides a means to send you contact information in a non-public manner.

    Wow.

You can't figure out a simple cell substitution in Excel to grab some data? If not then you shouldn't be trading.

I also think IB-AN was way too generous in his reply, especially considering that IB doesn't even reply to my posts.

  4. IC. PM mean private message.

As you know, I feel that I need to spend more time in Elite and IB.

  5. I agree IB-AN is generous in replying.

Probably you mean 1)Right button of my mouse 2)Excel import in legacy Excel. Most knows that. API does download many screen info within a second. I do hate to download each screen each time separately.

Good luck... and don't do any trades with real money until you feel comfortable and understand what you are doing... BTW where are you from?

  7. Since I made IB account, I have SSN+DL as well as good FICO score.

We do NOT have to be US citizen to open IB, if my understanding is correct
