Is there an order type where one could create a SL to be activated on certain date ?

  1. Hi guys,

Is there an order type where one could create a SL to be activated on certain date ? Like create an SL order on 10th Jan but only activate it on 15th Jan in the market.

This would be an order that would not require the trader to code it.

    Thank you

Yes, but it depends on the broker. For example, Interactive Brokers offer "Good-after-Time/Date" attribute in their order, which can be used for that very purpose.

If you trade Futures, you have a function like that on R Trader by Rithmic. you can specify the date and time of order release, down to the millisecond. I gave an example below for an order for the next 48 hours.

Those look like microseconds, not milliseconds. 6 post-decimal digits would be 1/1,000,000 of a second. :)
