Why don't you just use Bloomberg, completely legal and I would say the same as CNBC...

Exactly, I use both on my cable subscription (both are free)...Bloomberg is the better channel and more mobile especially for market related information. CNBC is more face friendly, talkative and that may be its allure to others.

Both do not help with trade decision but I've gotten a lot of useful investment info from them.

Yet, once in awhile they will say something that oddly nobody was aware of for a few seconds. For example, I remember way back many years someone on CNBC gives report to a surprise rate cut that had just occurred during trading hours...

The market at first didn't react to it...no reaction in Bonds, no reaction in Gold, no reaction in Oil and reaction in Eminis and no reaction in Eurex...then about 15 seconds later...everything exploded in this crazy volatility price...crazy number of points movement directional in a matter of 2 - 3 seconds.

That was the first time I've seen a financial news network get heads up on the institutions with obvious market impact news.

Just the opposite, I've seen market impact news hit twitter or stocktwits about 15 seconds to 1 minute prior to it reaching the financial news networks like CNBC and Bloomberg because the news networks always need a little extra time to confirm a story before reporting about it whereas no such rule for twitter and stocktwits. :D
