is there a new ecn?

First time for me seeing this INTERMKT ecn....Is this new or just new to my platform?

this intermkt acts as an ecn on both sides of the market...like arca or nasdaq ecns.

Is there a new ECN? The answer is ALWAYS yes.

ECN's are like TV shows- A new one comes along every few months, and most die a quick & quiet death for lack of public interest.

I dont think there are any new ecns in last year or so...Some front ends just recognize them differently.

 

why the heck do some use EDGX and BTRD? seems that everyone uses either NSDQ or ARCA.
