Is there a justification for being short?

If you want to short but you are scared a little and you think it might go up a little bit more, sell naked calls for out of the money strike price

 

amzn was a good short, our software exited the sim trade at 4578 high was 81, off by 3cents
but the analysis was correct

just a little more tweaking and bulls beware

this old man won't be the only one with no hair

 

Justification???

Not a word which typically makes a trader money in my limited experience.

 

In fact, justification is what I am always asking for when I'm holding onto a losing trade although I know I should've dumped it long ago.

 

Anyone still short in this market?

 

I still have several shorts, exited some yesterday and am looking to short today.

I trade both sides of the market daily. Many times in the same stock.

 

Has anyone taken advantage of the pullback since oil breaking 64 dollars.

not a lot for a position traders but 20/30 cents everywhere

do you mean you always short positions as well as longs or just shorts.

I wait each month for this and next week to write calls or puts to receive the stock and if it goes against me prior to expiry I start to accumulate share ie aug 10p tasr..gives you a dollar and i have started to pick up shares at 870.
I am doing the same with ati aug 30 call..mrvl has a great opportunity to write calls in aug/sept..can put 5k plus in the bank and wait...
