  3. Depends on how fast you want the news.
I have a subscription to DJ news text feed, which is different than www.dowjonesnews.com.
Basically I have a sever at DJ and I get the news generally a few seconds quicker. Once or twice a month I get a nice bone thrown my way. For instance, when the announcement of CFC and BAC deal when through, I got the news MINUTES before hand through DJ. it is expensive, over 6 figures a year.

Edit: There are 4 or 5 times a month, I get unannounced news before the street does.

  4. You could always get Trade The News for a free trial. The down side is you can't get it off when the trial ends. It crashed my system so hard I had to reboot from disks.

If you don't mind me asking what is the name of the specific service that you get from DJ that is seconds ahead of the street?

  6. It is part of their Algorithm Products, to be honest I can't talk too much about it. Before I could talk to a sales person about details of the product they made me sign a NDA.
