  1. UK did it in 1992/1993.

  2. There was a TV inter viewlast week with the CEO of YTL... large Chinese company that likes to buy "resources".

He said, "When the $USD PLUNGES, we will be there to buy up US assets...."

Chinese immigrants in the Old West did whitey's laundry. How deliciously ironic that we will soon be doing theirs...

they keep "clamoring" to cover up the fact that the country is not competitive. they are unwilling for political reasons to take the necessary steps, which are painful in the short run, to restore the country's competitiveness.

  5. My fastball, belt high... that about right for you.. :D :D

You're right. We are NOT competitive, yet we still have high expectations. "Something's gotta give"... actually "something" is likely closer to "EVERYTHING".. :(

  6. ................................................

Correct.....how can they not know this ?

Review the wiki countrys' tax rates....

Review the Pelosi Health program per capita take....

    Note the coming tax increases.....

Note the inability to change tax structure that would make
    better competitiveness a reality....

Note the inability to remove expensive legal largess...

Note the inability to impose Glass Steagall....

Note the inability of the SEC....

Then note what percentage of all US goods' prices are the govt portion....

    ................................................

Then know the future capability of US competiveness....

Then note where the best exchanges are going to be located....

  8. perhaps they don't know this....

perhaps they don't have any alternative and don't know how to package that and tell it to the public...

perhaps these trade agreements really have been the worse factory destroyers and adverse consequences beyond their authority on trade negotiations....

perhaps they aren't in control after all...

perhaps they have to take radical steps just to return to some recognizable norm(s)....

perhaps, who knows, but without a lot of self interest, then giving away the shop will continue to be the thing that happens....

  9. .............................................................................

perhaps they have to take radical steps just to return to some recognizable "somewhat temporary" seemingly norm(s)....

    THIS is the illusion....

You are spot on....how can it be any other way ?

Why....look....a hint.....they do not even read the laws THEY impose....

    Question remains....who are THEY.....?
