Is the Nature of Existence a Whole Big Scam?

  1. Thank you for your comments. In essence, once we pick up an activity, and become ingrossed in it, the path of our existence will effectively shrink and terminate at that particular plane of existence. Since we have finally found the release to fulfilling our Ego ( or found our "joyousness" ).

Yet, that still leaves the question open. Do we exist to pleasure ourselves. Or is each individual created, so that the activity of fulfilling the individual Ego, in fact is fulfilling the pleasures of a bored creator?

The need of the Ego is insatiable. We will always be in need to fulfill some mundane task or another to keep our sensories amused, thereby provide amusement for the creator. example, the need to create this thread and ponder this topic, was only to satiate a part of my Ego.

In final review, it seems to me that mans existence if used only to feed the Ego, is an illusion, except to provide amusement to the creator. However, if one is able to transend the Ego and contemplate further along the path of existence. Do we not find that the path indeed DOES terminate. It terminates into the Great creator Himself?

  2. Genesis states : So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them ( http://www.bibleontheweb.com/Bible.asp)

What do you make of that?

Do you think it means that God is a 3 dimensional being like man? By definition God is limitless and eternal and can have no boundaries. However by definition, a body has to terminate at some point, from its inner extremity to its outermost extremity. Therefore to suggest a physical reality onto God would by definition create a limited boundary on something that has no boundaries.

Upon further contemplation, we will find that delving into a different interpretation will indeed make sense. Genesis is referring to the mind of man, not the physical nature of man. Mans mind, is by definition limitless ( and maybe eternal) , There are no boundaries in the mind, as there are no boundaries to God. This then makes sense. man has then indeed been created in Gods image. A boundaryless ( eternal?) being.

If we use the above definition, that man is in fact not a limited 3 dimensional being, but a boundaryless entity limited only by each individuals physical perception, why should we not then succeed in contemplating the nature of existence?

If you begin from the premise that man is a limited physical being, you have already been defeated in your ponderance. Your path of existence has already effectively terminated into your current reality.

However, if you begin from the premise that man is a limitless being of the mind, temporarily shackled to a physical reality, then the contemplation of existence might indeed begin to bear fruit, because then you will have embarked onto a different path.

And therein lies the crux of the problem. The Ego is now not set to fulfilling a shallow physical need, but a multidimensional existential need. How does the Ego transcend the daily grind of a limited physical existence and embark onto the unlimited path? Would it entail effectively terminating the limiting physical existence? Or is there another manner to transcend this limiting physical anchor?

  3. Yes, the evolution of man is not to get rich in monetary ways but to reach commonality with God. In fact to become God by claiming our rightful inheritance of the higher realm. If you use your wealth for a good, beneficial, mutual purpose, I am sure wealth will be bestowed upon your as much as your karmic destiny requires(allows) it. Each step on the karmic hierarchy will result in a more conscious and disciplined human being, after a while you reach a level when you need not come back again. Jesus is just one example. If he comes back it is not because he had to....anyway, I digress. (I've just noticed that he is back on this very thread.... HI :)
The Nirvana was Buddha's invention to represent a period of rest, where in fact there is no rest only periods of slow learning and fast learning. You will be no star but be part of Infinity (God) and live/learn forever....no trading though.....

  4. Do you need a book specifically on reincarnation and karma? or you wish to know more? The reason I am asking because most esoteric books are riddled with errors....
I publish out of print books so I could just list a bunch of books to shamelessly self-promote my business or I can shamelessly self-promote my book and make no money? A dilemma!
I have written a book on agni yoga and I can send you the pdf version for free if you wish? It is in a question and answer format (second revision with a new subtitle)...
not yet on amazon....FREE - all welcome since it is new and not yet out...IM me with an email address that can handle a 130 pages pdf.

    we are all gods

we decided to create universe and experience it

    some of us keep returning

I can honestly admit, I think that this time I won't come back

I am sick of it. In 2 years I realized all I need to know

by the way Jesus ET user, I have a feeling you won't be coming back either

truth is not wanted and frankly not needed

the system is designed so that physical existence is perpetuated

    truth is not needed

I am sick of it, as soon as I die.

I will refuse to come back.

  6. I hate to say 'I told you so', but does this post not fit in perfectly with what I have been saying about the racists here? It is completely predictable that this member feels this way about life and I know as surely as I am writing this that Publisher/WAKE-UP/PLATO2 and all the other morons are similarly lost, spiritually speaking.

I'll say it again - those who look to a particular group and try to assign the blame for all the evils in the world to that group are serially dissatisfied with life or have experienced failure and are looking for someone to blame.

Just to let you know, brother... I am not Jewish, I am not religious at all. I just love life and love waking up every day to experience whatever life brings me. My existence is the opposite of miserable. The work I do, far from being a burden, is something that gives me joy and excites me. In my life, I have gone out of my way to treat others well, and it comes back around to me. That is the only religious belief I have - treat others well and it will come back around to you. You treat others like shit, and it has brought you to where you are. Your hatred is what makes your life miserable. You could always end it and hope to get another shot, as opposed to whining about it on an anonymous message board.

    Have a nice day.

This is perhaps the deepest question of them all. I will give you my beliefs, and they are radical.

First, let me give you some assumptions, because they make all the difference. Please bear with me:

    1) The Universe is actually a Multi-Verse. In other words, there are a [potentially infinite] number of Universes. We cannot point to where they are, because they are not in a direction that you can point to in our spacetime. All of this can be made mathematically rigorous.

    2) I believe that the bible story is a very very crude allegory for what actually happened, i.e., the "big bang". I believe that extremely advanced beings in another universe in the multi-verse were at a point in the history of their universe where they were facing their heat death. As you may recall, given enough time, if a universe expands forever, it eventually reaches a state where everything reaches a nearly perfect equilibrium with it's surrounding temperature. This means that no work can be done, work in a physics sense. Basically means the end of everything. What I believe these beings did is, they were able to create universes in the multi-verse through the manipulation of massive black holes in theirs. By an engineering feat that is so vastly beyond ours that we can only attribute it to "GOD", they were able to create a universe that had designer physical laws, and those laws are consistant. In other words, they understood that the universe they were creating would have a high probability of intelligent life. They may have done this purely as a creative act, or perhaps as a way to have some part of their "humanity" passed on, or even most radically, as a way of escaping their dying universe into ours!!!! (I bet you someone has written a sci-fi book with exactly this premise...)

    3) The key to their design was one principle, from which Everything follows: "All" measurements must be coordinate/scale independent. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gauge_invariant

    4) They did not just create any universe capable of any life, but a universe where the greatest amount of joy could be experienced. Note that "joy" is locally gauge invariant, but not globally gauge invariant. That is why "joy" cannot be "explained", only coordinately transformed.

From these choices, and probably other choices than we (I) are able to comprehend in our current state of intellectual evolution, the events in our universe unfolds according to Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity (and possibly other unknown laws.)

So, what is the purpose of existance? Look around you, and everything you see is not exactly it's purpose, but more of a consequences of a choice by the designers of this universe. Given the assumptions above, it is the design of infinitely wise beings that are as timeless as you can imagine, and this is the universe they would want to live in.

When our universe reaches heat death, we may have to make the same choices about designing our descendant universe.

Did they make a wise choice? Imo yes, but notice that opinion is only locally gauge invariant.

  9. This is a temptation. I see that you are not falling for it, and bless you with a detailed explanation re: temptation. If you find it helpful, pass it along.

Temptation has one lesson it would teach , in all its forms, wherever it occurs. It would persuade the holy Son of God he is a body, born in what must die, unable to escape its frailty, and bound by what it orders him to feel. It sets the limits on what he can do; its power is the only strength he has; his grasp cannot exceed its tiny reach.

Because the Son of God is Created in the image of God - equal in all His attributes - a distorted image of him-Self will distort his image of his Creator. This can only happen in a house-of-mirrors, which is what perception is, and what it's purpose if for. For perception to rule, knowledge must be denied. That is why this world is a denial of the Son of God. From within this house of mirrors, the writer tells us what he thinks he looks like, and why.

Because the writer has given in to temptation, he must perceive his Creator as some kind of body - "male and female" - split into parts unlike each other...and sometimes at odds. This is merely symbolic of the split deep in the writers unlimited mind, about what he is. "What am I?" was the first question every asked. Perception was made to answer it incorrectly: separated.

Split, he imagines a world of exile, separated from a short tempered Creator who is just following a set of strange rules regarding obedience...rules that rule over reality. It is the original "straw man" argument based on convoluted reasoning, and false premises. The writer unwittingly passes these concepts on to each succeeding generation, filling each one with suffering, whenever it follows the false premise to it's "logical" conclusion.

Exile is a seriously insane notion - sin - and touches every "generation" that puts it's faith in it. The "blame game" starts here. It is the frantic shifting of imagined guilt from one part of the mind to another... seeing it as parted to shift guilt from one compartment to another. This makes compartmentalization "real" so that guilt can be shifted. Thinking guilt real, fragmentation must be real.

This is an explosive idea, giving rise to a "big bang" in consciousness. Although all it's seeming effects were undone in a single instant, time/space/form remains an illusive problem for its believers. Time/space/form is miscreation based on fear. It is a place to hide out from the punishment that guilt demands. It is a time and place where truth are not welcome. Bodies are places to hide from love, symbolizing the one place in the universe love cannot enter. The rest is "history", but it is also nonsense! Love not only casts out fear, but what is made of fear cannot exist.

Existence in a state of fear is problematic for a Son of God. It is not his natural environment. Such an environment exists so long as a Son of God has faith in it. Withdrawing faith, it disappears.

"Male" and "female" are images in the writers mind, made real by his faith in separation. Bodies, different and isolated from each other, are "logical" conclusions of such faith. Split, strong vs weak, this makes for great drama, but not reality. The writer says that Adam fell asleep. No place does it say he woke up. Nuff said!

The "writer" is a Son of God - asleep - giving his power to a "pen", scribbling dreams of exile, separation, guilt, death and images of violence. These are "real" so long as he puts faith in the mysterious "pen". The pen's "holy" book lengthens as it follows it's premise to the inevitable various, long, drawn-out, and bloody conclusions...all in the name of "God".

Regardless, you are as God created you, and so is every living thing you look upon, regardless of the images you see. What you behold as sickness, and as pain, as weakness and as suffering and loss, is but temptation to perceive yourself defenseless and in hell. Yield not to this, and you will see all pain, in every form, wherever it occurs, but disappear as mists before the sun.

The images you make cannot prevail against what God Himself would have you be. Be never fearful of temptation, then, but see it as it is; another chance to choose again, and let the strength of the Son of God prevail in every circumstance and every place you raised an image of yourself before.

How do you make that choice? How easily this is explained! You always choose between your weakness and the strength of the Son of God - Christ - in you. And what you choose is what you think is real. Simply by never using weakness to direct your actions, you have given it no power.

In this way, miracles are as natural as fear and agony appeared to be before the choice for holiness was made. For in that choice are false distinctions gone, illusory alternatives laid by, and nothing left to interfere with truth.

The "big bang" is a temptation. A violent explosion, it is the neo-God, replacing the one in the Bible, making "man" in it's image. Have you ever noticed there is always somebody exploding itself in the name of God? Seemingly more benign, still, science would convince the holy Son of God he is a body...before supplying the ammo to bomb himself. Such a body is made "real" by the choice to hear voices of authority speak of "facts" in detail...talking heads...forked tongues. You get the point. Clearly, this is an old temptation in a new form.

All of time/space/form is "proof" of "existence". But it is empty and proves nothing. You remain as God Created you, a timeless being equal to Him in every way, regardless of what images of yourself seem to appear in your mind. Look at the premise for this kind of thinking, find it meaningless, and find your Self.

    Jesus
