Is the market one huge ponzi scheme?

  1. You're good, man. I just wanted to make the distinction.

My association with the VC/startup community cost me at least 40 grand of real money (this was back when an eight digit tombstone was the max) and arguably a bunch of other stuff. No love lost there. (I still remember the first time I heard a VC refer to an investment banker as an 'undertaker' -- :D /gallows humor)

I've seen investment bankers put lipstick on the pig, too, and the gullible ceo's rue the day they ever met them.

Every good process seems to have been turned to evil in the 90's with a gusto that was of appropriately end-of-the-millenium proportions.

ps. thanks for putting that in bold!

It has always fascinated me that Republicans can be "stuanch".
Why can't a Democrat or a Tory or a Socialist or Labor Party member be "staunch"?

Why do "so called" Republicans refer to Democrats as "liberal a**holes"? "So called" because they are an embarassment to the GOP.

Now don't assume I am a Democrat. I am not. I just find it amusing that right wing republicans think that they represent the party. I guess it is fashionable now.

    Clinton....bad man, good leader
    Bush I.....good man, bad leader
    Carter.....good man, bad leader
    Ford........good man, good leader
    Nixon......bad man, good leader...rigged election
    Reagan...good man, good leader
    Johnson..bad man, good leader
    Kennedy...bad man, good leader...bought election
    Eisenhower...good man, good leader
    Truman...good man, good leader
    Roosevelt..good man, good leader
George W.....good man, remains to be seen

I see no consistency in party affiliation here...

  3. it isn't about repub or demoncrat any more, it's left vs. right, and at their extremes even they are partners.

And even that's a moving target, as the left is pushed further left all the time. What was liberal a few years ago is conservative now.

The truth, however, has never budged. But everyone and everything else seems to have moved on.

  7. Just kidding. The Truth is Jesus Christ, God incarnate, born of the Virgin Mary, nailed to a cross for the sins of the world, resurrected by the power of God on the third day, now seated at the right hand of the Father, soon to return as rightful King of Creation.

He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life..." (John 14:6)

And, "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free." (John 15:7)
