As I read somewhere and I think it is quite true: to make money in the markets it is not necessary to know what the market is going to do, you only have to know always what YOU are going to do.

 

I think you are right. Selling into rallies and buying corrections is not really trendtrading also.
The disadvantage of this method is that the best trends you don't get into because you don't get the opportunity. And when the trend turns you are sure to get in on the wrong side.
