Actually Congress was given power by the constitution to coin/create money, so the government can print money to fund itself rather than borrow from the Federal Reserve and foreign nations and put itself deep into debt.

Yes the founding fathers intended for Congress to print money. Yes they were brilliant men.

yes, and banks were owned by the public. The voters got the benefits of interest payments.

We had a candidate for president about 1980 or so.. he was going to print one big coin, call it equal to all that was owed to the Federal Reserve and use it to pay off the debt. Then he was going to issue dollars printed by the Federal Government.

Put your vote in for BSAM tomorrow, brother Humpy.
I will eliminate the embassies, the state department, the CIA, the NSA, bases abroad and NASA.
Wonder if that would give all citizens of this country healthcare?

I will keep the military strong and keep police.

    I'm counting on you tomorrow!

You know that's what they were saying about FEMA until the hurricane literally hit people's back yards. Then suddenly, it's thank God for FEMA.. Perhaps there are reasons for having embassies, the CIA, the NSA. Perhaps a good reason we haven't had a terrorist strike recently might just be due to the work of those agencies. Just like perhaps there are very good reasons for certain regulations. You know the kind that prevents people from dying due to accidents and poisonings and criminals and what not. Just because something hasn't happened in 20 or 30 years in your life, doesn't mean a disaster couldn't strike you tomorrow, same idea with health insurance. People have no idea how to assess risk. Disasters and catastrophes actually happen a lot more frequently than most think. Also certain kinds of risks are overblown as well. People have the most distorted sense of risk. For example people are afraid of lightning strikes or shark attacks but have no problem getting into their cars and driving on the highway... that's human nature. The government, run by people who we voted in, should be there to help us with our shortsighted nature.

  7. The fact that Apple as a fictitious legal entity can pay a 1.9% effective income tax on foreign earnings of $37B should raise serious flags.

Apple may use these profits tax deferred and US interest and US tax free until such funds are repatriated (if ever). They gain an additional benefit of recording the estimated tax liability in case of repatriation on their books and thus a significant portion of the $37B in profits are not even recognized as shareholder equity.

A real person is required to report and pay taxes on their world wide income the year earned. A real person renouncing citizenship faces scrutiny and an exit tax.

Instead of this multinational Double Irish Dutch Sandwich corporate tax scheme would it not be better to close this loop hole and collect the $13B in taxes from Apple the year earned?

Would it not be fairer to require all multinationals to remit taxes on their world wide income yearly like we require real citizens to do?

Just because a company makes money, does that give the whores in D.C. the right to snatch it from them?
