Maybe adjust your averaging rate to reflect. I wouldn't cease averaging in as this doesn't protect against the upside. To sort of merge your idea with Schiz's-Your regular buy would be less when the market was over extended in the bull (Schiz would profit on the short move)and more when the price reached back into a lower buy zone that you identify as a discount. Just thinking out loud.
Even thoug there's a few hours left, I do not think bitcoin will hit $30k... Still it's been a good week, cashed out $20k profits a few days ago and still on a profitable position currently It's a bull market so I follow the lesson from Ed Lefevre... Almost midnight... closed the position. I am sitting on a nice gain on the crypto portfolio, and that is always for sitting long term This short term casino, is for short term. Had a nice gain from early in the week, and this is additional to end a good week This is only the start of the bull market, no hurries to try being too greedy on short term trades I've already roundtripped a few trades a couple of weeks ago, no need to keep repeating the same mistakes
I promise to let you guys know in a good timely fashion the opportunity to exit bitcoin. There'll be two/three exits, (1) A short term exit where the probabilities are of it failing (this could be in several weeks time, depending and.... (2) confirmation on (1) and..... (3) another exit which will come later which will be of a more serious nature, a kind of shit hits the fan exit, a GTFO now exit. This may be measured in months away. Basically I can't call a top target level, I can call when it's time to cash out as time draws more near. It operates on probabilities, imo high probabilities, however both entries and exits can have failures. Daily system. I'm not an investment advisor, take it all with a pinch of salt, that's to cover me from liability.
