Is the crypto winter over?

  1. I took this screenshot yesterday. Though today I'm up to just under 10K for my recent options profits.

Thank you so much bears! You've made our great depression fun again... All my short-PUTs are OTM. Even the ones I originally sold ITM.

And the irony of COIN's stock jump... definitely was not predicted by the majority who panicked when the SEC finally made due on their Wells notice.

My only regret is that I did not go much harder, on these trades.

One silly mistake I made on Iris Energy, is I wasn't happy with the poor fills, but didn't want to cross the spread to the bids. Of course, the damn thing has popped now and I missed out trying to gain another 40-cents here or there.

There is a lesson to be learned there I think...

  2. Boom!

10K+ now... Seems everything I touch turns to gold... that probably means something terribly bad is about to happen soon. :sneaky: Sorry guys if I pull the plug on the market here.

I also bought 10 more round-lots of Ether Capital today, bringing my total shares to 3K of that ETF. I love the fact it has a staking wrapper.

Reviving the bitcoin (crypto?) trading thread...

New life (is pretty awesome) in Asia... Have not traded (much), except de-risked by closing a lot of altcoin positions. Sold off the NFT assets a few months ago, the ones with value...

Pretty much my only altcoin position is Pepe, but I do have time-locked $Cake which I've shorted 100% against through a defi borrow (several months ago)

(Like most crypto people) I'm waiting for the runaway bitcoin bull market. Feels like it's going to be soon

    -----

FinTwit discussing the imminent financial crisis with supporting data in CRE, transports, auto, banking financial turmoil... credit crunch, et al

We may get a huge crash in everything before the "bailout" money printer goes full brrr, which is why I de-risked

    ------

My btc perp futures position still open. Liquidation or ride it to the bull market...

    upload_2023-8-9_23-46-44.png

    -------

But, I want to trade this range between high 28k to low 30k

Made a trade a couple of days ago, 1 btc perp futures long, sold too early, re-entered today 29.5k

That's the plan for now, trade this range, but only for 1-2 btc perp futures, and always long

Anyone else on ET find this trading range worthy of long or short position?

Dude, where in Asia? For good? I've been thinking of relocating to Asia as well, possibly South Korea, Japan or Singapore.

I'm still long, but it's a small position so ain't too worried. Anyway, I think we'll get a boost come next week. If not, we should be okay unless it goes below 28K again.

My call this time is bitcoin will run from approx 1st week of September and run over 32,000.
    A good 3 weeks away.
However this is, not guaranteed as strange things do happen. :)
My last call I was early about 2-3 days.

Bitcoin bull-bear market cycle happens around the halvening which is scheduled to occur around April of 2024

However, given that everyone is aware of this, there is a theory that it will be front-run by market players so we will hit $100k/btc by year end

Will btc peak at $1M this cycle and bottom to the bear market low ~2 years later around $250k? That would be nice...

Don't want to dox my location in Asia, (yet) but it's not a high cost of living area

Yes, it's for good. Life has been GREAT , like a fantasy dream I don't want to wake up from

Most important for me is safety and security as I have young kids

I've walked by myself at least five times between the hours of midnight and 4 AM to a 24-hour McDonalds a block away with about a week's worth of a local worker's salary in my pockets in shorts and slippers and the latest Pixel phone and it doesn't even cross my mind that I'll get robbed or mugged

I would not think of doing this in downtown metropolis in the US, i.e. San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, etc

I ran into this tweet a couple of hours ago...
