What's the meaning of the phrase 'Abandon all hope ye who enter here'? 'Abandon all hope ye who enter here' is the supposed inscription at the entrance to Hell. What's the origin of the phrase 'Abandon all hope ye who enter here'? The expression 'Abandon all hope ye who enter here' is first found in Dante's Divine Comedy. The 1814 translation into English by the Reverend H. F. Cary is the origin for this phrase in English, although he gave it as the less commonly used 'All hope abandon ye who enter here'. Through me you pass into the city of woe: Through me you pass into eternal pain: Through me among the people lost for aye. Justice the founder of my fabric mov'd: To rear me was the task of power divine, Supremest wisdom, and primeval love. Before me things create were none, save things Eternal, and eternal I endure. All hope abandon ye who enter here.
Now that Mr. Fink has reversed his stance of Bitcoin, I am forced by laws of asymmetry to lever up on BTC... Damn you! Next week I will most likely short PUT-LEAPs on ETH, and use the cash to fund long LEAP CALLs on BTC. When BlackRock originally got permission to issue their GOLD etf, look at the crazy ballistic move it did in gold and never returned back. Now BlackRock's repeat into digital Gold is going to be the same but on steroids. History doesn't exactly repeat, but it does rhyme...
I decided not to short more PUTs, as there are still downward catalysts as well. I will sit & wait for that to happen, then pounce and short vol if it occurs. In the meantime, I purchased the 100 PUTs, damn commissions are feeling expensive again, compared to my free-to-trade platforms ...
We're back!!! I was very close to getting liquidated, ~14k USDT in collateral if btc went down another $300 that night... Now currently in profits. Good times
Good to hear (for those that didn't miss out). I'm up ~$700 just on the BTC calls alone from yesterday. Going to avoid closing out for small profits and go for the $250,000 big-win post-having.
