Is the coming Social Security/Medicare crisis REALLY that worrisome?

  1. I agree with you. And thanks for posting that cancer link from BBC in your earlier post on this topic.

But which companies would you invest in now who will be involved in figuring out the proteins etc..?

  2. Taxes will be raised. But there is a better easier solution for these two animals.

Medical costs, the time will arrive where the gov will be forced to face the music and impose controls on costs (read price gouging) from every layer of the healthcare system in general. Todays right wing fanatics will say this is not "FREE MKT" but just what is the system we have in place now called? STEALING!!!!! LOL

The Social Security costs will be easier to fix. This can be fixed simply by having those same right wingers that always complain about the so called "lower classes" taking away from their hard earned money and "gaming the system" to the disadvantage of republicans that create all the jobs and provide all those "low pay and no benefits" jobs for everyone else as they steal the profits in the name of "BUSINESS".

When it comes time for the right winger to collect social security and medicare, etc benefits that they complain about for others to be stealing from their own pockets, the heroic right winger should call his/her congress person and opp out of the system in the name of "saving the republic"..........FAT CHANCE>>:D

Just think how patriotic a right wing lackey would feel as he/she is rewarded with a wonderful feeling for once in their life worrying about their fellow citizen. Man, it would be yet a salvation to be able to tell the grandchildren that for once in life they "REALLY CARED" .. LOL

I mean after all the country is divided 50 50 correct? in one full swoop the two problems would be cut in half. :)

Come on you greedy money chasers do your duty. Thank You in advance for your kind and thoughtful solution to this problem. Your fellow citizen thinks highly of your heart.

  3. Taxes will be raised during the 2012 administration whatever the party. That'll cost them the election in 2016. 2016 administration gets a free ride. 2020 administration will be forced to cut benefits and raise taxes again. The only way to prevent that crash is a national heathcare plan right now financed with a tax increase right now. Fat chance of that happening. Lets see, 2020 I'll be 70. The perfect age to get fucked! Guess I'll load up on the fast food and candy bars. Maybe the "big grabber" will take me out early.

the US government will inflate the dollar out of existence in order to avoid payings its debts or will knock a couple of zeroes off the currency before its ultimate demise.

  5. I would guess that they are still private now or they have not been organized yet. There are some big companies mapping the genes but the new companies coming on stream will be the ones to take that information and use it. Not so much the ones grinding it out.

I guess BBH, biotech holdr is a good investment, althought I don't think it will come from the big biotech companies. I really feel they will come from new companies whose founders are now still in high school.

It not 30 years then for sure 50 years.

Don't even get me started on antigravity, faster than light travel, free energy, teleportation, robots doing the dirty work. And labor becoming free.

We are 30 to 50 years away on that too.

Oh boy, there are still people who believe that left-wingers truly care.I am assuming you are the person who doesn't try to minimize his tax load by any means necessary. Just like every left-winger pays his "fair share" of taxes without employing an accountant for figuring out how to pay the bare minimum (unlike those greedy right-wingers). You are a poser, pal.

  8. I heard the same thing 30 years ago.

And 50 years ago it was predicted that we all would have personal flying machines.

You left out nanomachines. We are doomed in less than 15 years. That's if global warming doesn't get us first.

  10. Yes, the speed of light( pulse) in a vacuum through a gas of potassium atoms was at one time thought to surpass the speed of light, however this hypothesis has been refuted and to the best of my knowledge, you are correct in your assertion that the speed of light is still the quickest mofo out there.
