Marriott buffet in downtown Bangkok: The one on soi 57 even better than JW further down the street. The buffet is so extensive, so mind boggling, jut the pastry room has 300 varieties of cakes and pastries and sandwiches. The coffees come from all over the world including from Guatemala, one of m y personal favs. Where the heck to start? Coffee and OJ of course but look at the choices there too.. OJ from at least 18 different locations. Start with eggs? Pancakes? No sir. I walked around the entire buffet grand Hall, walked by every section and just looked and smelled and took in everything that I could register in the mind. It was about a 10-min. walk thru' Then booooooom! I nailed the Malaysian chicken coconut curry with steamed garlic and ginger and turmeric white rice. Guatemalan coffee, OJ local stuff, Tom Yum Kung soup, grilled vegetables. Boom! Done!
