Their 401ks and dollar cost averaging pitch by Charles Schwab, Jp Morgan, Raymond James, Morgan Stanley et all typical Stock Brokers, have not accumulated much on the grand scheme of things. Inflation is destroying these young "Nest Eggs" and many do not take profits during the peaks nor do they put in more money in during the lows. The average investor is not going to have enough to survive in the next 20 to 30 years of their investing as they listen to bafoons and sales idiots on the retail end. To top that, most companies are no longer matching 401k contributions. Wait till their health insurance hikes kick in and are passed on to the worker. The ATM machine or "Nest Egg equity" known as the "HOME" may not be the best bet for the future. However, it may be worth the risk if you can purchase a new home at 1990s value. But how many 30 somethings are going to stay in one spot, in the same house until they retire?
