I've heard they are legit, but their main focus was on the floor which is basically dead now. I'm not sure where they stand these days.
You mean the firm on 2nd (or 3rd) floor of CBOT building, rite? If so, they are a fairly friendly firm, and have been long time members of CBOT and NYMEX (since early 80s I believe), trading mostly in physical commodities, cotton, precious metals, etc, at least that's what they were doing a few years back. They do have an upstairs (aka electronic) prop trading operation. I am sure the recent spike in commodities trading volume has helped their overall revenue. I know some of their principals, and it is a friendly, down to earth group of ppl. But on the other hand, they don't focus on any sophisticated technology, automated anything, etc, it is a fairly "old school" trading firm.
Hi! How long a new trader at SMW would be trainged before they play with real money? Do you know how many % of new traders at SMW would become successful?
