Is Obama trying to copy MLK?

  1. I was listening to Obama's speech last night, and something seemed quite familiar to it.

In certain parts it sounded much like Obama's normal tone, terrific diction, accent free.

Then it is as if he was trying to channel MLK (or Jessie Jackson who tried to copy MLK).

Yes, it is effective, no question.

It impacted those dunderheads at MSNBC:

However, it bothers me that people are so desperate to find a political savior that they don't take the time to read the speeches. Read the speech of Obama, it doesn't hold a candle to the great speeches of the past 50 years.

Lots of blue sky, lots of feel good rhetoric from Obama, lots of hope...but damn little practical reality or experience on how to make those "dreams" come true.

  2. true... the lack of experience is undisputable... great message though... an ability to bridge the divide that H doesn't seem to have, don't u think?
