well, after he pays pays medicare taxes, and social security taxes and fuel taxes and sales tax, there just isn't much left. I'm not a socialist. I don't believe that just because you have some money you should give it to my government. $200 a year may not seem like much, but after 10 years you can finally open a brokerage account and buy your first stock. The time for paying income taxes will come soon enough. And a lot sooner if your paycheck is not pillfered before you can even get on your feet.

No. Instead he must transfer headcount from government to the private sector. he can accomplish this by shrinking the unprofitable division (government) and allowing the private sector "portion" of his company to get more resources.
That's why his employer pays it for him the other can be garnished from whatever govt freebies they are getting , welfare, food stamps wic etc etc.
Well said. Absolutely agree. I wouldn't have as much of a problem with my taxes being raised 3 percent if they made EVERYBODY pay that 3 percent. I would even go so far as to agree to a sliding scale of 1-3% depending on how much you made. BUT EVERYBODY HAS TO PAY SOMETHING!
