Correct...but for some odd reason we continue to find data errors when testing Esignal data (for BID/ASK differential work). This is from a group of over 100 order flow based traders. DTN.IQ feed is the only feed that continues to match a Bloomberg feed. ....and all the other typical "broker supplied" data feeds are not fully accurate to include; IB (heinous data), TT-Fix (UUGH!), Zenfire/Rithmic (gets close at times), TS (no way), Transact (nope), OEC (nope). CQG data seems to be decent but we have never done complete testing yet. BTW, BigMikeTrading has numerous threads related to all these data feed issues.
Actual, I know someone who was going to start the testing and ended it after only a few days....it was that bad.
It all depends on how many markets you want to track and if you qualify for the "exchange fee waivers" through your broker (talk to a DTN rep as they have all the details for this program). With waivers and a few markets tracked you could be as low as $100 month - If you have most all major markets covered you could get up to the $200 or above per month. Just call DTN and tell them what instruments you want to track and they will shoot you a price quote.
Two months ago. Not very many of the feed companies handle the formating of the BID/ASK data (through their "ticker plants") in a fashion that works for clean BID/ASK differential tracking. Whatever DTN is doing they are doing it right.....and it has been that way for a long time!
