Is it worth trading the week of Christmas & New Years?

  3. dang those BMW CEOs, they are trading 50 million on Christmas day, and there is no way I can trade it because I am just a retail trader and my broker has Holiday hours.

    50 million? Can you even imagine? That's more than trades in 1 second on a normal day.

    And they got up on Christmas morning and made the president of the bank miss Christmas morning with presents under the tree with his kids and grandkids just so they could buy 50 million US Dollars.

    That CEO at BMW is a real Grinch.

  4. 5 points on ES on Christmas Eve. Do they still pay you the going rate? Or do you have to give up some of those profits because it is a "Holiday"?

    Low volume is irrelevant. Low volume is to be expected on a shortened trading day during a holiday season and does not effect trading opportunities.

  10. Yeah, if you're trading a few hundred shares here and there. Otherwise it's basically a free lunch for predatory algo's to whipsaw you all over.
