JQP, you just don't get it, do you? That's OK though. There are those in the minority opinion with you but thankfully, the majority know better.

  2. manufacturing jobs need not be "low paying" many require a high degree of skill, and all produce goods that are vital to a nation.

I certainly hope that when your kind of thinking drives the last manufacturing job from our shores, that the nations who then have them do not cut off our supply of steel, machine parts and tools, durable goods, etc.

but I guess that you didn't think about that.

perhaps you might want to think beyond your life time. the corporate world is only interested in driving down wages. period. if their customers come from here or abroad, it makes no difference to them. if they destroy entire communities and classes of people, it makes no difference to them. I suspect that you don't care because you don't believe that you are in their crosshairs. you might be wrong. if you are, I wonder who will fight for you and yours?

  3. Amazing how many marxist/commie clueless people are still around.

Yes yes yes...the working class are exploited, oh boo hoo.

If I start a business, creating JOBS, did I put a gun
to the head of the working class to work for me? NO.

They came to work for me by free choice.
They needed a job AND I PROVIDED ONE!
Im taking the risk of starting the business, and I have
every right to profit from it.

They could have started a business too, but instead decided
    to work for me.

WHERE IS THE PROBLEM???? Where is this exploitation??!?!?!
Don't like your job?? Go start a business and shut the hell up
with your exploitation boo hoo's. Lay your nuts on the
chopping block and see how easy it is to start your
own business. The failure rates say it all.

Damn I hate this communistic/socialistic/marxist IDIOT CRAP.

If we remove the incentives of growing wealthy by
taking the risk in capital and HARD work to start a successful
business, THEN WHO THE HELL WOULD **EVER** BE STUPID
ENOUGH TO START A NEW BUSINESS?!?!?

    No one!

    Aaaarrrghhh........

Look at the facts.... capitalism kicks communism ass.
Commie ideologies need to die a horrible death.
We need to get back to our capitalistic roots.

    Free markets! Adapt or die.

  4. if I don't get what?

do you really think that you just said something?

and one more thing, my friend. being in the majority is unimportant to me. being right means everything.

  6. did anyone say there was a problem?

did anyone use the word "exploited" as a bad word? exploitation can be bad, but it is not a bad word.

you seem a little touchy on the subject.

having a frank understanding about how are system works and what it is does not equate to communism. but shouting "commie" is a favored tactic of throes who would prefer that the conversation not be held.

the interesting thing is that not one of you are "true capitalists". you are working class people, working class people in denial. not one of you would be welcome at a "captains of industry" cocktail party.

go on, start your own business. hire three people, or three-hundred, and you will still be a working class slob, at the mercy of a class of people who don't consider you fit to spit on.

they will work you to death, sell you inferior goods, cheat you in commerce, send your kids off to war, and laugh behind your back - but you stand up for them.

I want to live in a free and proud America. where a man is truly equal. where he has real opportunity. where he can truly be rewarded for his labor and ingenuity. but increasingly I live in a nation where that is but an illusion, where the backbone of this nation is being sold down the river. and that saddens me. it ought to anger you.

  7. you had better get a better understanding of what you think you believe so that you can verbalize it

  8. What do you expect me to say? If you honestly believe there is a significant number of factories built without money from at least one billionaire, the only way to prove you wrong would be to do an enormous amount of audited (or notarized or whatever proof you might require) research, and in the end I might find out that some of the people who supplied the money are not billionaires, but only have a few hundred million dollars. So what's the point? I might just as well try to prove to you that the sky is blue. If you call that color red, then there's nothing I can do about it. And if you show me a patch of sky that is red, you will be just as right as I.

  9. "did anyone say there was a problem?
did anyone use the word "exploited" as a bad word? exploitation can be bad, but it is not a bad word. "

JQ earlier: "But just try getting rich unless it's on the back of some lowly worker."

You obviously think this is a BAD kind of exploitation, so don't
try to give us this crap now. Your back pedaling.

"you seem a little touchy on the subject.
having a frank understanding about how are system works and what it is does not equate to communism. but shouting "commie" is a favored tactic of throes who would prefer that the conversation not be held."

Not avoiding anything. But if the label fits....
You sound just like a marxist.

"the interesting thing is that not one of you are "true capitalists". you are working class people, working class people in denial. not one of you would be welcome at a "captains of industry" cocktail party."

Apparently you have no idea what a capitalist IS.
Being a capitalist does NOT require that your are mega wealthy.
Since when was this a requirement???
I was a 5 year old capitalist selling lemonade!

"go on, start your own business. hire three people, or three-hundred, and you will still be a working class slob, at the mercy of a class of people who don't consider you fit to spit on."

Mercy??? How so? Explain your delusion.

"they will work you to death, sell you inferior goods, cheat you in commerce, send your kids off to war, and laugh behind your back - but you stand up for them."

Hogwash? WHO is working me to death when im working
    for myself? ME.

You seem to have this "EVIL THEY" issue. THEY will get you.
THEY will spit on you. THEY will work you to death. THEY will cheat you.

WHO are these mysterious people im standing up for?

"I want to live in a free and proud America. where a man is truly equal. where he has real opportunity. where he can truly be rewarded for his labor and ingenuity. but increasingly I live in a nation where that is but an illusion, where the backbone of this nation is being sold down the river. and that saddens me. it ought to anger you. "

I want to live in a free america too.
Where im free to start a business, where people come to
work for ME by their own free will, and where some marxist then
doesn't accuse me of exploitation because im "getting rich
on the backs of lowly workers".

If this was in response to my post, then please note I was trying to be ironic.

But the right seems to be seriously irony impaired.
