Is it time to drop the Canadian energy trusts?

  1. The cutting of dividends and the slower growth from the threat of corporation taxation. Makes me think that it's time or past time to bail out. What's you opinion?

  2. No.

Time to have bailed was in september when smart money sold.

With canroys down 40pct and oil where it is, how much more downside do you think there is?

Some canroy's might make attractive buyout targets from private equity, etc.

  4. I bailed in August, but got back into them in November when the div. payout was upwards of 20%. Now with the recent cuts they are back under 10% but still a good dividend. I guess my question is will they return to the high teen dividends when the oil prices go up or will the fear of taxation keep the divs down?
