I'm not going to refute or prove any of your "findings". Jack Hershey is deceased. I will honor RIP. The MIF-NG and the ET "competition" were before my interest was instilled in Jack Hershey teachings/methods. Volume leads price plays a significant role in my trading... I use a bastardized interpretation that works extremely well for me. Significant does mean it is the only component. I will point out however, tax bills and real estate titling have no bearing whatsoever on the man's ability to teach, or the efficacy or validity of his methods. You/we have no facts about his family, circumstances, needs, wants, health matters, or other aspects of his long life, RIP. As for Spydertrader, all I can tell you, though completely unsupported, Sprout is not him. If anyone, Sprout could be a medium for Jack himself. LOL. (Thats a back-handed compliment, Sprout!) I do know way back when, several Elites met up IRL with Spyder (and Jack for that matter) at various events. Sprout persona never had an exchange with Jack in any format. Please allow Jack Hershey to RIP. There are many ET threads and 1000's of posts for self-teaching, in addition to a few ET'ers that can, will, and do help those genuinely interested in learning about Jack Hershey and his methods.
I don't understand the posthumous sainthood given to anyone who's passed. The guy was extremely lucky to have lasted that long. Good for him. A shame that his chute didn't open.
I don't know to whom you are responding to. Public doxxing would be a clear violation of this site's ToS. An anonymous forum has an implicit expectation of privacy, otherwise why not be upfront and just model the site like linkedin? As for Jack, he was 81 when he passed. Not sure where the 90+ comes from, my guess is more disinformation from detractors. As for AUM, that's not how he rolled, again more disinformation. He traded subaccounts under a master and swept profits weekly as a self-proclaimed amateur retail trader. This was his practice right from the beginning of his trading career. Amateur Retail was his adopted title but certainly not his knowledge base, he started trading in '57 charting by hand and developed several systems all available here on ET. They all are based on principals based on the market's basic granularity, they all interlock and work together. It just takes work to gain understanding and insight, work detractors are not willing to do. It's easier to bray. It's too much cognitive dissonance to the detractors to consider that there are other things in life that has more value than money. Instead it's easier for detractors to consider him a fraud. To each their own, we all must sleep in the bed of our own making. With that said, I'm not sure how I got pulled back into this attention sponge of a thread. Like another bad trade, better to cut it and quick! No sense in casting pearls,...
Because Dest has rented a room in your head. Just kidding, this thread is like The Seinfeld Show, a show about nothing. It's got some great comic relief. The Never Late VIPER
This is where you are 100% utterly wrong. Most traders will absolutely say that the method is easy, perhaps even less than 50% of this game. The psychology is the difficult part. Very good traders may not have more than a 50% win rate, so why are they winners? If a person can teach a method, yet hasn't been able to capitalize on it, why on earth give them credit? They clearly aren't even 50% of the way there. Deep down inside they know they are a failure, nothing wrong with admitting it, but it must hurt even more since the mechanics of this aren't that difficult if you put in the work. Before you actually start making consistent money, you don't even know if the problem is you, or the method. So how on earth can you teach something that you believe works if you haven't been able to make it work? Tiddly, I've asked Sprout many times to show some trades, show some stats, show some fills, and nothing. You seem to be trading his shit as well. So can you enlighten us with how wonderful this method is? Not a single person who is doing this JH and Sprout shit has shown a single trade and yet you all seem to be raking it in while your greatest savior died broke. In the face of facts, you guys choose to ignore it. How on earth can you trade if you don't admit to what is right in front of you?
Post 284 begins my participation in this thread... https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/challenge-of-weekly-profit-trading-futures.323874/page-29 It was the last week of Summer 2018, yea that's right, 2 weeks ago or so. Gotcha!! haha. If it doesn't meet your "proof" criteria... tough shit.
So finally something interesting!! Did Jack die fairly wealthy? Not necessary rich, but well to do? I think not. That tells everything about his 50 years of trading... Oh, and before this "he is dead and RIP" thingy, we still talk about Livermore or Steve Jobs, so I don't see why being dead should make someone above criticism.
TraderEX just posted 40-50 posts while in the throws of a blunt-induced stroke. Magna's fingers are raw from deleting all of EX's insanity. I wish that we could have have archived that opus!
