Is it time for the blue states to throw the gulf states out of the union?

  1. Southern IS a race. Southorns are predominantly Scots-Irish. New England is predominatly Germanic (English). You're a classic dupe of the propagandizing power-brokers of New England and New York.

  2. Hello

    Hello

Unfortunately facts dont support your retarded arguments, that is most likely why fkbushites deleted his previous post on this thread blaming repubs for all of the problems in the United States.

DEMOCRATIC CONTROLLED LEGISLATURES OVERSEEING 17 OF THE HIGHEST 20 STATE BUDGET DEFICITS NATIONWIDE.

......A Smart Politics analysis finds Democrats are in charge of 35 of the 40 chambers in states with the 20 largest deficits, including control of both the Senate and House in 17 of these 20 states............

  3. I don't know if it's a "race" as there was plenty of scandinavian, german, dutch, english and french settlement in the south as well. However, it is certainly a distinctive cultural and ethnic identity.

Hence, optional is advocating ethnic discrimination.

  4. "Coordinated lack of funding targets the Keltic redneck..."

    Nice conspiracy theory lacking evidence...

The reason that it is false is the redneck culture was not generated via the government. It is largely unchanged over the past 300 years...

Sorry that you think the rednecks are too stupid to overcome their Keltic redneck heritage...which is probably why they are stuck in reverse...

  5. I did say "predominantly". Optional has no clue re the background of the North-South divide.

  6. Hello

    Hello

Do you still support the idea, which you defended,. of drilling more oil to reduce our consumption of oil?

  7. How about giving the Chinese California and Nevada as satisfaction to all debt. Doubt they would take any of the gulf states.

  8. In the bigger picture, yes, I agree with Obama that we do need to do several things to improve our energy policy as a nation.

It should be clear to anyone with a brain that the unbridled greed of oil companies does not serve the real interests of America, the national security of America, nor the quality of life and safety of America.

Drilling off shore in a limited safe way is one of those necessary evils we have to employ with the longer range goal of eliminating the use of fossil fuels.

It is practical, and politically expedient as well.

If Obama is viewed as willing to compromise, and the goons are unwilling to compromise (the party of no) on having a goal to move toward renewable clean energy and away from the dependency on crude oil, the American people will see the light eventually that the party of no doesn't really care about what is best for America.

How any American doesn't put getting off the crude that comes from the middle east as a matter of national security, oil that finances terrorism is beyond crazy...

I say we do it all right now, with the shorter term goal of transitioning away from dependency on foreign oil first, then with the broader goal of getting off the addiction of oil.

I have no problem with heroin addicts transitioning away from heroin through the use of methadone, as long as they are working to the larger goal of recovery.

Obama's goal is recovery, the right wing's goal if funding from big oil for the next election...

The right refuses to even say the goal is to get off the crack...

  9. The Chinese wouldn't want the gulf states because they are a black hole?

I agree, which is why now is the time to cut the dead wood of the gulf states out of the union.

Maybe it will teach them a lesson, humble them properly...

  10. I think if anyone is going to be leaving the union soon it's not going to be the gulf states. It's going to be Cali, joining Mexico. LOL!!!!!
