Is it possible to trade on NATURAL DISASTERS?

  1. Since some pretended in aother thread that it is a bullshit here it is:

Is .mil an extra-terrestrial site ? And they don't want to control only they want to <font color=red>"OWN THE WEATHER"</font>

  3. It seems you gonna mad since you can't support to read an OFFICIAL REPORT FROM MILITARY that is still available online at the moment - I have of course an archive since they tend to disappear once I posted them. That's why I don't link to them directly any more.

  4. Say a hurricane is moving towards the Gulf of Mexico. I speculate that production will be shut down so buy oil and gas futures. Is there something wrong with this?

Same example as above except I buy the futures immediately after I have confirmed that production has been adversely impacted. Is this a problem now?

In either case, I don't see how profiting (or loosing) from the natural disaster is wrong.

  5. Trading disasters: One way to look at it:

Similar discussions came up after 911. Some were saying "be patriotic and don't sell". Well you can bet the big firms were going to sell, so I sold too. That doesn't make me an unpatraotic dick. That makes me a trader looking to do what I do, which is trade for profit.

Would you rather have me be broke and asking for welfare (taxpayers money) or would you rather have me contributing to society as a taxpayer.

If a trader makes money then that trader is a taxpayer. Being a taxpayer in turn helps the government fund disaster relief programs. So don't be too hard on ole tradertt, cause if he's making money then he is paying taxes and automatically contributing to his country's ability to provide disaster relief.

Just another way to look at it.

  7. I am a trader first and foremost... I will make money off things I feel uncomfortable with...

Many of us, I am sure, made money from the 911 plays e.g. whenever there was an anthrax scare we would buy CPHD...

I have had no problem making money on the tsunami stocks... I have also made charitable donations in respect of this, as I have Asian friends and so have a personal empathy for those affected...

In my view, it is not necessarily immoral to trade on death...

  8. What is so disturbing about this thread? This is just a fact of life

    When we trade news

If it is bad news - For example a company retrenching people etc -

Are we suppose not to short sell as there are people losing their jobs? Is this ethical to short sell then? Are we profiting from others misfortune?

If so, I would suggest that no one short sells as most big falls in price are caused by 1 bad thing or another.

  9. Hahaha how funny it will be, hundred of Katrina hurricanes around the world thanks to the militaries, and of course they will authorize bets on that

As usual they are passing law in silence

    http://www.skyhighway.com/~chemtrails/supporting_evidence.html

As head of the Armed Services oversight committee, Congressman Dennis Kucinich is acquainted with chemtrail projects. He introduced the Space Preservation Act 2001
to prohibit certain "space-based weapons" of the United States, including chemtrails. In
Sec.7(2)(B)(ii) of the bill, it states "The terms `weapon' and `weapons system' mean a
device capable of any of the following…" and "Such terms include exotic weapons
    systems such as…chemtrails".

Unfortunately, the bill was rejected as is and was extremely watered down into
the Space Preservation Act 2002 in which the term "chemtrails" was
completely removed from the text, along with other important language,
so as to allow the chemical spraying to continue.

  10. Congressman Dennis Kucinich is what a true politician should be; A humanitarian first and ideologue second. Thank g_d for his work as a politician.

Like i said in another post that i cannot find, i never once thought about a natural disaster as a cause to trade but only that every occurrence on our planet translates into public markets, and we as traders have to provide liquidity to the world. :D

What are you going to do ? Sit on your thumbs when a freight train is barreling down the track ? ...Start weighing priorities and consequences of natural disasters vs. man made ones ?

I trade on one principle: to amass a small fortune so that i can help people and animals in dire straits. You must have a higher calling than just making money if you are going to live with yourself everyday. My 2 cents.
