  4. Anyone heard of Michael Carboni, he has a website where he gives tips? Yeah he's a bit shouty but pretty entertaining and has very good analysis skills.

  5. Oscar has been discussed on ET ad nauseam since his videos first came out in January 2007. His stuff is ok but the videos are so annoying. I wouldn't trade on anything he puts up much less pay 35/rt or whatever it is to be a part of his "brokerage firm".

  6. I'll take that as a reluctant semi-recommendation then! :)

  7. Uh, recommendation? no. I could recommend many other sources and methods for learning technical analysis besides Oscar's videos.

  8. Maybe I was reading too much into your reply, but you said Oscar has been discussed 'ad nauseam' (ie not dismissed immediately as a scam artist) and his 'stuff is ok'. This sounds like, from an experienced trader, as near to a recommendation as dammit.

  9. Yes, you are reading too much into my reply. I also think that gambling in a casino is ok but that doesn't mean I would recommend it. If you want to watch his videos and trade off of his recommendations go ahead. Ask yourself why there are no data posted about the performance of those calls. Also, I don't think anyone should pay over a few dollars per side if they want to make any money short term trading.

  10. Ah, that's what the '35 per ...' was, I don't use his firm to trade. I, personally, don't like casinos and I'm watching his recommendations regularly to see if he's as good as the guys in his forum says he is. With me it's the psychology (as well as the strategy) that could/will be my downfall, some recommendations from an experienced trader plus the classes and videos might give me much needed help. I'm only risking a couple of $000 as part of a concerted effort to understand the markets a bit more in the long term. It's mostly reading and buying/selling ETFs and stocks so far.
