Made $2.4K trading 10 lots on sim account since the open. Practice. Practice. On my real account I'm only trading 1 lots. Until I'm superconfident then I'll scale up in the real account. Been average way above $1K a day for a month now. You need size if you want to scalp for reasonable profits. Just saying it's possible. 2 points per day is reasonable for a competent trader. I have a friend* who once told me he averaged 9.5 ES points per day for an entire year.... trading 50-200 lots. (You can do the math on that, right?) *Owns a Chicago hi-rise and lives in the penthouse.
Woww. Yes sir, I can do that math. He made alot of good money. Does he still trade? Hopefully he out the business.
Not important that you "get rich NOW". It's important that you GET IT... however long it takes... period. Lever up when you're ready.
He's not "in the business". He's a regular guy. Married, 2 kids. I asked him how he learned to trade so successfully at an early age. Said, "taught by an institutional trader". (DUH! We could all use some of that.) Mostly hangs out and does what he wants. Can always make money as necessary, you know. (A moot point... already has more than he can likely spend in a lifetime... his penchant for Ferraris and other expensive fine things not withstanding.)
Totally agreed. I want to practice, practice, and practice so much that these good trading habits become so natural and instinctive that I know exactly what to do it each and every time. It's automatic behavior. Once you have it down, then money will roll in non-stop. Patience grasshopper.
