Is it possible to consistently make $5000 a month trading 2 index futures contracts per trade ?

  3. If you could count on making 2 points per day on average, you could do it trading 2-lots. First, however, you should trade 1-lots and sharpen your skills.

    No it was not irrelevant you just didn’t realize I was answering both his questions.

    However what you answered is irrelevant since he didn’t specify that he earned 2.5 points a day and traded 20 days per month.

    You would have to do a lot of trades. And they would all have to be good quality trades.

    Easier to average $5000 a month trading 10 lots at time, but the downside is you have to take bigger losses and drawdowns..

  9. Yes, it is definetly possible mathematical and sitting here typing. For me, I have not reached that level yet.

    However, give it a shot. Open a paper account and trade 2 months.

    You can definitely do it with two contracts or one contracts.

    All that is needed is entry, stop loss, and profit target per trade.
