Is it Illegal to Interview a Trader in a Firm?

Discussion in 'Trading' started by BNB Analytics, Sep 27, 2007.

  1. I'd like to do an interview for a site and I want to know if it is legal or illegal to interview someone who is currently working in the securities industry? I would ask him questions regarding his opinion on the public financial news like the lowering of interest rates and how it has effected the economy and trading world sofar.

    Very illegal. Don't do it.

  3. Are you being honest or just trying to not get me to do the interview?

There is probably paperwork that needs to be signed to cover your ass, I assume you have a lawyer and are not seeking legal advice on Elite Trader.

Well I think in this case he just asked a pretty simple question and got the help he needed here at ET, no need to go to an attorney, new, old or whatever. Lots of people think this guy is a fruitcake and a fraud, but this is probably not your best arguement for that.
