Is it easier to make consistent profits with forex than stocks?

Why so? Why can't you use forex futures then if you are good with futures?

 

Yes. I trade currency futures (and other futures). No more spot forex for me.

 

Good to hear that. So, you are more profitable with currency futures than spot forex. Is it because spot forex is less regulated and more manipulative compared to futures?

 

It is not easy to bring consistency in the profits whether it is forex or stocks.

 

My charts are all volume based (eg x number of contracts per candle), not time based ( 5 mins chart, 15 minute charts ....).

For spot forex, you can't get accurate / true / genuine volume (or dollars worth traded).
you can probably get number # of transactions traded but that's worthless because a transaction can be worth few dollars or few millions of dollars.

 

Most expert advisors or trading robots do not work because they try to curve fit a statistical optimization to a present time trading environment from a past

 

It is easier if you are the dealer...

 

It is not easier for any person in the market to make money. Everyone is having his own struggle with the market.

I agree with you that most of the people are struggling to make money but there are some who are enjoying profits also.

 

Stick to a forex trading method or style that suits your schedule is very important in trading.
