Is it dangerous to be completely out of the market

  1. That request is another thing I don't get. What could I possibly gain from creating a report, anonymizing it, then posting it? I'd be happy to do that if you pay me for the labor, but if not, I see zero benefit. This isn't WSB, and whether or not I impress random internet people (not that my gains are impressive; they're simply solid) makes absolutely no difference to me.

But why is it so difficult to understand that some strategies work well in this market and some do not? If yours doesn't work, it's not a reflection of your abilities. My strategy doesn't work well in flat markets. My futures strategy works fine, but it's well outside my risk tolerance so for all intents and purposes, it doesn't work. My single-stock strategy works well.

  2. If you don’t put the proof where your mouth is, you lack credibility. I have no problem doing so if challenged on anything I’ve stated on ET.

This is the reason I don't post on YouTube with all these fake furus who get excited over make a few hundred bucks and have followers to milk them. And when you do make decent $ people think otherwise. Why waste mental capital on it? I just trade. I'm still relatively conservative on my risk. I could have bank a whole lot more. But over time as this market progresses I will get more aggressive. 4 figure days are nice, but eventually I want to hit 5 figure days.

You can check out my Twitter handle where I post all of my trades both winners and losers:

I also have a thread where I posted and journal here on ET:
    https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/the-road-to-consistency.335578/page-16

I stop posting on it. Too much work and a lot of negative energy like the OP. I rather just trade and make $ so I stop reporting. The average ET poster can't make $ from trading. lol.

Only a few good traders on this site.

  4. No doubt about that. The reality of this trading environment isn’t what many here say it is. They obviously don’t trade, and that’s why I challenged them. Ive been daytrading actively through it, and I can tell you (and show you) that my March stats aren’t spectacular. I’m just grinding it out.

  6. Ok then. I’ll just scroll through any of your trading related posts until you do, and I recommend others do the same. I have no problem exposing hot air, and there’s definitely an abundance of it here. I think it’s our duty to do so, and I’m sure many here will agree.

  7. No, I meant “ok, I guess I’ll lack credibility in your eyes then.” I’m still not sure why that would matter to me?

Strip away the fancy term, isn't this just buying the dips? There is an inverse relationship between SPY and vix.

    It really doesn't matter sir.

This is an anonymous forum he is an anonymous poster. Unless he is selling get rich quick membership or education courses, why demand proof?

We are just sharing experiences and let us be our own judge if he is the real deal. What I would like is for @trader99 to discuss why this is a great market to trade and how his can win whereas I cannot?

    Have a good weekend.

Why is this a great trading environment unless you consistently short the market?
