Man that's a loaded question. "It depends" on your trading volume, API requirements, where you live, etc. If you're looking for MT4 then that really limits things. If you're looking for another bucket shop then Oanda is probably the best of the bunch for reliability and transparency. I'd have thought people would be crying their eyes out on message boards about your broker going down but there's nothing except your post.
^^^ What he said. If I were you I'd start pulling my ca$h out of the account; or at the very least, reduce the amount by 50%. I wouldn't hit the panic button, and withdraw a huge lump sum, I'd pull out 8-12% today, then another 8-12% tomorrow... bleed it dry over the next week or so.
http://www.forexpeacearmy.com/commu...are-stealing-my-profits-traders-beware.22337/ What you need to know, this broker can basically do whatever they wish. I hope you get your funds back.
I'm just trying out Oanda as I've been having a lot of slippage on my current broker. They offer spread betting accounts for UK customers so tax free and mt4 too as I code all my own trade management ea's and other useful indicators. The only thing I don't like so far is the position sizing. 0.1 is £8.60 a point on the Dax. With most spread bet brokers you can just say £10 a point and be done with it. I'm sure I will get used to it. They do have a good reputation.
It seems not. Sorry if I seem to be giving you a hard time, but the fact that you didn't know in which country your "broker" is regulated speaks volumes, and in part explains why you have this problem. Something to learn from, here, perhaps, to avoid repeating the mistake? Good luck!
Yes a lot of the shiftier ones will have "offices" in the US which if you went there would turn out to be a broom cupboard in the back of some mail forwarders.
wow a 1.5% wire fee to withdraw money with $25 minimum. That's a bit much the minimum i can see but does look like a max
