Although I was against the war, I honestly believed that after America invaded, the fact that America went to war was a sunk cost. The right thing to do would be to remain in there for however long it takes and turn Iraq into a Democracy. We seemed to be getting there painfully slow nevertheless minor progress was being made. Even if it meant two-steps forward and once step back. However, now that Iraq is on the brink of civil war, maybe it's time for the United States to cut its losses (credibility, money, and most important the human toll) and just bring the troops home. Iraq is just a huge mess which history and God will judge us on. However there is really no point in staying there if the country is destin for civil war.
