  2. Looks like another fun day on the exchanges with IBKR tanking down yet another 4% while Citibank tanks in kind.

your plan is poorly thought out if you have even thought about it.. hell's angels or other marauders will torture you to reveal your wealth.

  5. No need for plan B when you got IBKR and C. Always lots of shares available to borrow and both reliably dump down almost every day except for a few short covering rallies...

  6. my plan is to wait for Port to end it all by his own hand.

    Seems a likely candidate.

Also for the record FDIC is now $250k I believe.

    ---------------------------------------

tomahawk, this is ONLY for one year. There not giving you or doing anyone any favors. It's all shit

what they tell us. THERE, STILL AFTER ALL INVESTOR'S MONEY. Hook or by Crook. Watch Out???

    ----------------------------------------

I'm worried about what will happen if there is, no fraud or other improper conduct by a broker, and the

broker just goes under. Are you still covered by SIPC?

    trade well

  8. Oh man, now the FDIC is saying that they wont have funds by the end of the year. Is my wall really a better place for my cash then the sweep accounts at Interactive Brokers?

Now Citibank is trading like a tech stock in 2001 thats just about to go under.

Tell me, what will happen to the IBKR accounts when Citibank goes under and the FDIC cant cover the loss?

Lawsuits usually recover pennies on the dollar if anything at all.

    This is silly.

There is a 99.95% chance (or better) that the US Govt will backstop all Citigroup deposits, either directly, or indirectly (through additional capital infusions).

and as Daal wrote in another thread,

"C depositors are safe because they got $500b in unsecured debt bellow then in the capital structure. Plus whats left of the pref and common shareholders. If you wipe all of those out C leverage goes to 4-1. And I'm referring to the black swan scenario the FDIC takes them over and liquidates instead of selling the deposits to somebody else"
