Is IB using FIFO?

When trading more than one contracts, is IB using FIFO?

yes. And I believe it would matter if you are subject to wash sale rule.

 

I think the question needs a bit more info. Are you refering to accounting policies or order filling? You say contracts, so I assume you are trading emini's which aren't subject the wash sale rule. So I assume you mean order fills? In which case, IB just sends them to Globex, and Globex does fill FIFO.

 

I understood you to mean option contracts. From an accounting standpoint they use FIFO.
