Is IB good or bad?

I read a lot of good about IB on here and it seems I read almost as much bad lately. Is IB the way to go or would someone like cybertrader be better? Thanks

 

If it were that bad do you think half the people here would be using it?

I hope IB keeps its execution speed, low cost and good trading platform.

For the way I trade, nobody has been able to beat them. I am still a little steamed about them changing margin requirements without any notice though. All in all, they keep getting better I think - and they were better than anyone else when I started with them.

 

Must be more than 50% ...

 

And their realtime chat customer service is good. Calling them on the phone may take a while to get through. Can't beat the prices and I really like TWS.

 

If you daytrade or scalp... the same I know but different still... IB is great. I don't think Cyber does futures yet so no ES or NQ.

And the pass thru fees will nickle and dime you to death if you do any size at all with Cyber.
