Is IB asking for "Authentications"? Or is this a hacker?

Hey Option trader, out of curiosity, what kind of security software do u have on your computer? kinda scary this is happening on your trading computer. Not that you're asking, but you might wanna look at 2 freewares that can run WITH any antivirus - BOCLEAN and Threatfire. They're pretty good protecting against malwares.

IB technical support said they were flooded with calls today on this issue.

 

Can anyone post a screenshot of what the phishy enter password thing look like?

Do people get it from visiting phony sites?

Avoiding problems like this

 

On top of Firefox, I would use Adblock Plus and NoScript. Yes, they are a pain in a** at times, but I prefer being safe, especially if you browse the web on your trading computer.
