If you weren't so angry and abusive all the time, you might start reading properly and understand what is being said a lot sooner.

If there are no whole truths but only half truths, things like religion are at best, half of a half of a half truth.

  3. My guess:

    1. Status of "Truth" depends on [time, space, culture, knowledge, logic, context, etc. etc.]

    2. Seems slow improvement so far perhaps due to
    A. Believers usually do not seek/like much improvement/change.
    B. Improvement/change is usually due to external (change) agent/force/pressure. (According to Deming)
    C. Nonbelievers could help believers find ways for positive improvements.

I'd say truth is quite simply a fact that has been verified.

  5. A fact I know is historically many religionists around the globe have created so many things, including music, paintings, buildings, crafts, poems, books, sciences, philosophy, medicines, laws, democracy, thoughts, ideas, mathematics, inventions, sayings, etc.

The equivalence of these things may or may not be reproduced again from scratch either today or in the future!

Besides, there have been so many true stories about human consciousness, social consciousness and ecological consciousness.

Q http://www.sol.com.au/kor/6_01.htm Lost in the Supermarket of Truth

What happens is that we think we know what we are doing that we have everything under control, which is another one of life's illusions, for there is a much greater force in the universe than ourselves that connects us with all life and wishes only for us to evolve into our potential selves, and the sooner one is connected to this power the sooner one will reach the perfection one seeks. So much can be justified with the mind, we can say its alright, I'm OK, we can convince ourselves of anything, but when one listens to the Spirit the cogs of the mind bare down to leave the truth spinning freely.

Many non-religionists have created those things also. They are possible and they happen where religious belief is not involved.
Most cultures don't follow religious dogmas within them anyway. They come about despite religion, not because of it.

The human spirit is not a specific property of religion.

I suggest it is the evolution of culture itself, scientifically based upon knowledge and understanding of how the physical world works, which is the crucial essential element behind all those things.
In that broad context as culture and society evolves, quite rightly in my opinion, religion plays an incidental role as make-believe and superstition does, becoming more inconsequential in a positive way.

  7. Q https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religiosity

An individual could disavow all doctrines associated with organized religions (belief dimension), not affiliate with an organized religion or attend religious services (practice dimension), and at the same time be strongly committed to a higher power and feel that the connection with that higher power is ultimately relevant (spirituality dimension). These are explanatory examples of the broadest dimensions of religiosity and that they may not be reflected in specific religiosity measures.

Pretense has any number of higher powers. Reality ultimately one; the universe.

  9. great works of creativity occur as a result ofa pattern conceived. that's what brains do.

schizo's can be great artists too, and their work is judged in that frame of reference. a frame of r very broad and capricious.

Schizo's can be "creative" scientists also, but their work judged in RIGOR & skepticism, as it should be. teasing out RELIABLE reality. applying a [trading]filter if you will from misconception; most things are impossible

    most TRADES are impossible:cool:
