therefore how the hell can anyone think as a matter of voting rights in America their hardware (and software) is more worthy. its like plato was telling us there are perfect forms but we only see the shadow in the caves. Nitro does not see the perfect form, neither do you and neither do I. No one's vote is more worthy... we are all the product of our hardware and software biases. Nitro apparently assumes he worked out his biases better than people who love God. I can tell you that based on his post he has not eliminated his biases when it comes to understanding the point of voting in America... at least based on my biases... Providentially, we have a constitution and a structure designed to deal with bigots and morons and religious people and everything in between.

But cared enough to act as a "primordial mover", didn't IT? and this much you are sure?! nitro, are an atheist? if you had to pick what "label" would apply to you're brand of "spirituality"? do you consider yourself an atheist "with conditions"? Trying to understand where you're coming from?
One can imagine anything. That's trivial. But discovering the way the universe actually works, rather than how you might want or imagine it to, is the ultimate goal for human reasoning.
Discovering how the universe works is a waste of time and money that could be used for other things. And to think people get paid to look through a telescope and then imagine what it all means. It's funny.
Careful there. From just using technology developed through understanding how the universe works, you'll find yourself stepping outside that dark damp cave you'd seem to prefer to be spending your life in.
See, that's the puzzling thing. The magnificence of existence is primarily evidence of itself, not of God. Arbitrarily adding a thing like God to it, simply by imagining it, isn't evidence for God. It's evidence of imagination. Just as every other imaginary thing is.
the only evangelisits on this site are the atheist evangelists. It's not good enough for them to enjoy their faith or lack thereof privately. For some reason they feel the need to convert anybody who still believes in god.
I would not dismiss imagination as trivial. In fact I would say that without imagination there would be no science at all. We would never question the conventional wisdom of the time. Imagination was all that our ancient ancestors had as they viewed the heavens. What if was the question. What if we had something that could see beyond out own eyes? What if is the question every person of science must have. It's imagination that drives us. None of this is settled science/belief, no matter how much the political ideology of any party wants it to be.
here's one for you...the Bible says when Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden childbirth became painful. I was just watching a documentary explaining the evolution of monkey to man. They claim that when monkeys started walking upright it made childbirth painful. Just one of those things that makes you wonder about where that ancient knowledge came from.
