do people in the UK (United Kingdom) trade Forex a lot?

What do UK Traders trade at all these days?

The UK is the Forex trading capital of the world. About 30% of all volume originates in the UK according to the most recent BIS survey

 

Unique to the UK — I believe, is spreadbetting where no tax is owed on profits from bets on 'copies' of stocks, futures and fx pairs.
