Firefox is good, but with the addons and themes available it becomes great.

Alexa Sparky, Bookmark Duplicate Detector, Download Statusbar, DownloadHelper,
    FasterFox, FEBE, Gmail Notifier,
No Squint, PicLens, QuickRestart, ReloadEvery, ReminderFox, SaveComplete...

The best way to download flash video(flv) and MP3 audio is using Firefox with Download Helper and VLC Media Player as an alternative to Windows Media Player.

Maxthon is a good alternative if you need to use IE.

  3. Either Firefox or Opera are far, far superior to Explorer.

  5. IE 7 is a lot better than IE 6. That said, I use Firefox most of the time but still have IE 7 on the machine for websites that like it better. I'm using Windows XP Pro with SP2.

If you run Linux, try Swiftweasel or Swiftfox. They are basically Firefox browsers but optimized for different CPUs. Very, very fast!

You should try the "IE Tab" add-on for FF. Works great.

  9. Yes, Firefox is good. Opera is also good, it has a voice feature – speaks what you select, good for people who have poor vision.

But, see following links, imagine a browser which is a few MB & does well like others, wow! Like Maxthon, Opera, K-Meleon, lynx, TheWorld, etc…

Firefox is verrry nice, so much faster than IE. BUT, the attachments in this forum weren't displayed. In the AHG thread, Anekdoten posts several screenshots but FF doesn't show the link to these attachments. Any Ideas? I don't want to change back to IE
