A Phase 1 clinical trial evaluating an investigational vaccine designed to protect against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has begun at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI) in Seattle. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health, is funding the trial. KPWHRI is part of NIAID’s Infectious Diseases Clinical Research Consortium. The open-label trial will enroll 45 healthy adult volunteers ages 18 to 55 years over approximately 6 weeks. The first participant received the investigational vaccine today. The study is evaluating different doses of the experimental vaccine for safety and its ability to induce an immune response in participants. This is the first of multiple steps in the clinical trial process for evaluating the potential benefit of the vaccine. The vaccine is called mRNA-1273 and was developed by NIAID scientists and their collaborators at the biotechnology company Moderna, Inc., based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) supported the manufacturing of the vaccine candidate for the Phase 1 clinical trial. “Finding a safe and effective vaccine to prevent infection with SARS-CoV-2 is an urgent public health priority,” said NIAID Director Anthony S. Fauci, M.D. “This Phase 1 study, launched in record speed, is an important first step toward achieving that goal.”
While I applaud the effort to find a new vaccine, other countries seem to be having success with known drug combinations. Chloroquine, Hydroxychloroquine, others. These drugs are in the public domain, cheap & easy to produce. But you’re not hearing anything about them here. Wonder why?
Yes, the Chloroquinone, quinilone, quinine spin-offs plus zinc combo. The chloroquine changes the negative or positive ion status in the cell or enhances it, whatever, which allows the otherwise difficult-to-absorb zinc to be drawn into the cell. And the zinc then occupies the receptor sites where the coronavirus would like to attach its sorry arse. These drugs have been around and widely used so that no trials and approvals should be needed. And when properly used within normal prescribing dosages the side effects are very limited. I did not say there were no side effects with long term, excessive use such as people who have chronic malaria. You know, in the countries that have already decided to write-off anyone over eighty or deny them ventilator care, what exactly are the risks to at least seeing if it helps?
They have been with good results. Except Doctors here won’t try them because they haven’t been approved for the treatment of covid-19 by the AMA and don’t want a law suit. So they just treat symptoms. So we continue to hear there’s no treatment..... bullshit.
This thing can go three ways. 1. The body count increases dramatically in the next 2-4 weeks, a complete and total lockdown coast to coast begins, and people really freak at the idea of this lasting well into the summer or longer. Great Depression will look like a walk in the park if this happens. 2. The body count doesn't go up in any meaningful way in the next 2-4 weeks and the public begins to push back hard at all the quarantines and restrictions. Violence ensues in a big way. 3. We begin to learn something else is going on and real panic and/or revolution begins depending on whether this is some mass extinction event coming our way, or our government or some government shows it's hand for real. Brave New World people, and that's no cock and bull story. It's about to get real. If not already, we're soon going to long for the days when we were bickering like school kids about silly shit. Whole world is about to get bitch slapped with a dose of what putting things into perspective is all about.
