Is everyone in a fullblown panic because of coronavirus?

    Overnight

Trump actually was impeached by the house, through a majority vote. Then it went to trial in the Senate.

The senate majority acquitted him in the trial of his charges.

This would be the same as Clinton. He was impeached back in...1998? 1999? But he also was acquitted of the charges brought against him.

Nixon however was not impeached, because he resigned before the house could vote on his impeachment.

Nah... It was an "attempted impeachment" something like an accusation by the House which resulted in acquittal in the Senate. Exactly like Bill Clinton except Clinton actually perjured himself.

We all saw what happened to the House Republicans after that and I expect the House Democrats will feel the same pain in November.

I wonder how long it would take a Republican majority House to start impeachment hearings for a theoretical but improbable President Biden. He literally admitted to a corrupt quid pro quo he demanded from Ukraine so he would not even need deposition. Its right out there in the public.

  4. Arguably that process has already begun - although in the Senate- since they are clearly moving forward with the investigation of burisma/biden related witnesses.

True that their findings would need to be referred back over to the House which has jurisdiction over impeachment, but hey, just a short walk away.

I was told right here on the forum long time ago that the Senate would not be looking at any burisma/biden type issues because they had no jurisdiction even though I spelled out why they did. Howz that lookin' these days? Oh, I see. They are voting on subpoenas now and working out how much will be behind closed doors versus open session. Nevermind.

Apparently Romney changed his tune overnight and will support the issuance of subpoenas in pursuit of facts in the Burisma-Biden corruption investigation.

Romney was likely about to lose his committee seat. Cocaine Mitch probably had a little chat with him lol.
