Is day trading worth it?

    Well it might never come because you can stay in denial for a long time. There are people who have been trying to day trade for over a decade and still going from guru to guru.

    Just look at some recent posts in the "Topsteptrader????" thread in this forum. A guy who spent years in prop firms said he had around 20 guys from ET come into his firm to trade......... all claimed on ET that they never lost money but none of them made money at his firm. And even worse.......... some even came back to ET afterward and continued the "never lose" game. People can stay in denial for a long time.

  4. What really irks me is the fact that these big mouth, rarely lose traders on elite REFUSE to ever demonstrate their claims. Not even with real money just in real time on the combine. One of the never lose crowd actually had the gall to demand 50,000$ as opportunity loss cost for the 10 day combine! This was an excuse not to fail in public.

    The ability to accept failure is a key sign of a professional trader. Those who deny it are only fooling themselves and the Noobs.

  5. I get what you mean. But she is not really disclosing any details anyway.

    As far as I can tell, the gist of her message is go test out Breakout Pullback with all kinds of parameters and you will make $$$.

  6. 50k/10=5k a day.

    5k*240(ish) trading days=$1,200,000 per year.

    :eek:

  7. Yep, and then work Elitetrader all day long for adoring followers. Does this add up?

    A little something to ponder over the weekend

    Take a chart – any chart…,any TF

    See the moves – see the opportunity

    See the pretty lines we draw to emphasize those moves (possibly help others see the same)

    Now…, see how easy it is (or would have been) to make money – if only you traded with those moves

    That is – irrefutable fact

    Whether you believe it… whether you acknowledge it... whether you can even fathom it

    Really does not make a shit

    It is all right in front of your face – before you… God… everyone

    So… a very logical (and reasonable I think) question

    =====================

    What is it…, within you…, that keeps you from doing so

    Rhetorical of course

    ===========

    There was a time – when I fought this shit tooth and nail – I was perpetually stressed / pissed / frustrated… & losing

    No way in hell could anyone trade consistently day in and day out - simply no fuckin way

    Man I sure do miss those days – lmao

    The question is - your's to solve.., or not

    Happy Weekend All

    eta - Never ask me why I can - ask yourself why you can't

  9. One easy request:

    DEMONSTRATE IT.

    the combine is waiting, as is more money than you can imagine if you speak truth.

    betcha can't

  10. Yes. hindsight bias is a powerful thing. I'm sure we'd all agree.
